This panel dives into how the Trump administration’s crackdown on immigration has affected students, schools and communities – from executive orders to ICE raids that have separated families. It focuses on how reporters have effectively captured the voices of students, teachers, and families impacted by these policies, and what new data shows. Reporters provide insights into telling underreported stories, such as how threats of deportation impact children’s health and wellbeing as well as their attendance and success at school.
