It’s time to test your skills with data tools from the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP)!
Get a walkthrough on how to find big-picture stories, and learn how to localize national data during a 45-minute Education Writers Association webinar on Tuesday, Aug. 15 at 12 p.m. Eastern. Education statisticians will provide insights into trends and topics of federal data from recent reports, and they will demonstrate easy-to-use federal tools journalists can use to sort through information from their newsrooms.
These experts from the National Center for Education Statistics will dive into various topics, such as middle school math and reading scores. Speakers will also highlight a dashboard journalists can use to look at learning gaps across jurisdictions and spotlight a tool for examining what factors lead to shrinking demographic achievement gaps. (EWA will leave 15 minutes for Q&A.)
