After the 2026 midterm elections, the postsecondary landscape could shift as newly elected officials from the statehouse to U.S. Congress enter office and their education priorities take shape. What will post-election shifts in power at the federal and state level – as well as in campus governance – mean for universities and their faculty and students? Will colleges that have been under the political microscope see major changes? What questions should reporters ask of incoming elected officials?
Join the Education Writers Association on Nov. 13 at 1 p.m. Eastern to hear from reporters and editors on the impact the midterm results may have on campuses – and the stories and sourcing to start working on now. Take this opportunity to engage and brainstorm with fellow journalists in breakout rooms.
This meeting is for journalists only and is off the record. EWA is not recording or transcribing this event, and by attending the meeting, journalists agree not to use transcription tools or recording devices.
