Casey Fabris is a program manager for the Education Writers Association, where she works to develop and deliver training and resources designed to support the nation’s education journalists.
Prior to joining EWA, Casey was a reporter at The Roanoke Times in Southwest Virginia. She covered rural Franklin County, including its school system, and business in the Roanoke Valley. Her work has been recognized by the Virginia Press Association, Virginia Farm Bureau Federation and Society for Advancing Business Editing and Writing.
Casey is a graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. As a student, Casey spent most of her time at The Daily Orange, where she served as editor in chief.
