CD Davidson-Hiers
CD is a membership coordinator for the Education Writers Association. She spearheads EWA’s membership outreach and provides training, resources, professional recognition, and customized support for its members.
She has a background in education beat reporting and extensively covered the local effects of the COVID-19 pandemic for the Tallahassee Democrat newspaper. In 2020, she founded and continues to manage a student journalism program based in Florida, and for 2021-22 served as the vice president of programs for the Florida chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
CD has received several awards for her reporting. She graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Creative Writing and French and is working on a master’s degree in writing.
