The 2021 National Awards for Education Reporting major prize winners:
- Erica Green of The New York Times received the Ronald Moskowitz Prize for Outstanding Beat Reporting.
- Laura Bauer and Judy Thomas of The Kansas City Star won the Fred M. Hechinger Grand Prize for Distinguished Education Reporting.
