About
Cognitive science has vastly expanded the body of knowledge on how people learn in the last 25 years. Yet, little of that knowledge has trickled down to the classroom.
A small, but growing, number of schools and districts are working to change that. More educators are looking at the science of learning after concerns expressed about learning disruptions and recovering from the pandemic. To learn more, watch the webinar recording below.
Educators and experts explained basic cognitive science and brain research, and highlighted the best practices to aid learning. They described concrete examples of what such learning looks like, and how districts might implement policies and practices to incorporate brain science into classrooms.
Additionally, the speakers explained why it’s important for journalists to cover this story, especially as most students are expected to return to full-time, in-person instruction this fall. And finally, the presenters provided solutions to bridge the gap between research and practice.
