How Schools Are Responding to Vaping Health Concerns

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that children (under the age of 18) make up 14 percent of the 2,051 cases of lung illnesses connected to vaping.

Schools have become a central focus of the public campaign against vaping. Principals have tried suspending students who vape on campus, installing detectors in bathrooms, and, in at least one Alabama high school, removing doors on bathroom stalls to discourage the trend.
