The State of Early Learning

About

How much money do states spend on pre-K education? What policies are they implementing to support early learning? How large are the class sizes and how well-trained are the staff?

The National Institute for Early Education Research at Rutgers University releases an annual report card on state-funded pre-K that provides answers to these and many more questions.

The webinar features Steve Barnett, the senior co-director of NIEER, as well as journalists Christina Samuels of Education Week and Priska Neely of Southern California Public Radio, who offer guidance on covering early childhood education and some of the key issues raised in the report.

This webinar was presented on April 16, 2019.
