About the Webinar

There’s a slight uptick in principal turnover and attrition nationwide, according to the National Center for Education Statistics. Around 11% of public school principals left the profession during the 2020-21 and 2021-22 academic years. Reports of job satisfaction remain low.

In a webinar recording from the Education Writers Association, experts discussed what increased principal turnover and attrition mean for students and teachers. They also explained what the data tells us about vulnerable student populations at greatest risk.
