Reporters receive financial awards for innovative education journalism.
The Education Writers Association is pleased to announce its 16th class of EWA Reporting Fellows, part of the organization’s drive to support enterprising journalism that informs the public about consequential issues in education.
EWA selected nine projects in this round. Each EWA Reporting Micro-Fellowship provides up to $5,000 to help cover reporting costs, plus other assistance.
“As the high caliber of this round of applicants demonstrated, there is a strong demand for thoughtful, enterprise education journalism,” said Kathy Chow, EWA’s executive director. “We are proud to be able to support the ambitious work of our members.”
The newest class of EWA Reporting Fellows represents a diverse mix of news outlets, with projects to be published in the fall and early winter of this year.
