The Education Writers Association is pleased to announce its 20th class of EWA Reporting Fellows. These competitive fellowships are part of the organization’s drive to support enterprise journalism that informs the public about consequential issues in education.

EWA selected five projects for this micro-fellowship round, focusing on higher education. Each EWA Reporting Fellowship provides up to $5,000 to help cover reporting costs, plus other assistance.

“Our newly selected fellows will shed important light on challenges facing higher education communities and the students they serve,” said EWA’s executive director Kathy Chow. “We are pleased to support these timely and innovative projects.”

The spring 2025 EWA Reporting Fellows represent a diverse mix of news organizations and projects. Most of their work will be published this year.
