Alabama State Department of Education Reports Success with LINQ’s Nutrition Solution, TITAN

Alabama State Department of Education Child Nutrition Programs experience the benefits of the statewide nutrition solution since selecting it in February 2022.

(Wilmington, N.C. and Montgomery, ALA.) Nov. 30, 2022 – The Alabama State Department of Education Child Nutrition Programs (ALSDE CNP) reports growing success with its selected statewide school nutrition solution since announcing it in February 2022. TITAN, a LINQ Solution, is a nutrition management system that connects districts with state agencies. The 100% cloud-based solution allows nutrition directors to manage and maximize their meal planning systems.

Since selecting the school nutrition system, more than 30 Alabama K-12 schools have implemented at least one of the modules, which include Point of Sale (POS), Free and Reduced Lunches, Menu Planning, Production Records, Inventory, and Purchasing. Depending on the modules selected, districts also receive 5-12 hours of training prior to and post-go-live with the system.

Alabama districts have been positive about the implementation process noting, “the personalized support has been great. I have loved being able to email a real person, set up conference times when I was in crisis, and have access to Titan Support all day! You all have made a stressful transition much smoother!”

Other Alabama districts point out that TITAN alleviates some of the day-to-day operational challenges they face and that the cloud allows for accessibility into their meal ordering records and forecasts their next order.

“We are honored to partner with the Alabama State Department of Education to provide a seamless and cost-effective solution that streamlines the delivery of food to communities throughout the state,” said Matt Muller, Chief Revenue Officer.  “ALSDE’s vision of a unified system from the sponsor or school all the way to the USDA will eliminate waste, help promote healthy choices, and support American-grown food products.”

Alabama is one of 37 states that trust LINQ’s systems to provide their districts with solutions. Whether it be school nutrition management or district operations, LINQ works closely with each state agency and K-12 school district to understand their needs and build solutions that support the effective management of their nutrition program.
