eLuma Partners with SSIS CoLab to Launch Social and Behavioral Health Screener for K–12 Schools

Evidence-based tool helps districts identify and address students’ social, emotional, and behavioral needs earlier and more effectively.

Lehi, UTAH (November 18, 2025)eLuma, a national leader in K–12 mental health and special education solutions, has partnered with SSIS CoLab, known for its evidence-based student well-being assessments, screeners, and intervention programs, to provide districts with an end-to-end solution for identifying and supporting students’ social and behavioral needs.

The SSIS Social and Behavioral Health Screener gives educators a comprehensive view of a student’s well-being by collecting input from students, teachers, and parents. Designed to be administered to all students across grades PreK–12, the tool identifies stress response levels and documents the social skills students need to manage stress, seek support, and build resilience. It measures key indicators across two domains: Resilience Behaviors (social and stress management skills) and Behavioral Health Indicators (stress indicators and internalizing and externalizing emotional behaviors).

“Schools need real data they can act on,” said Andy Myers, CEO of eLuma. “By pairing the SSIS Screener’s research-backed insights with eLuma’s nationwide network of licensed providers, we’re helping districts move seamlessly from screening to intervention and ensuring every student gets the support they need to thrive. In today’s landscape of ongoing staffing shortages and constrained resources, districts benefit from a partner that can flexibly scale services to meet students wherever they are.”

Unlike a standalone assessment, the collaboration integrates SSIS CoLab’s validated framework with eLuma’s comprehensive behavioral health services, including expert consultation, data interpretation, and direct student support. This unified approach enables schools to act immediately on screening data within their Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) frameworks, reducing staff burden while driving measurable outcomes in attendance, academic performance, and school climate.

“The SSIS Social & Behavioral Health Screener was built to help schools move from awareness to action,” said Dr. Stephen N. Elliott, lead author of the SSIS screening assessments and President of SSIS CoLab. “Partnering with eLuma ensures those insights translate into real, positive change for students and staff.”

Starting Nov. 18, 2025, the SSIS Social and Behavioral Health Screener will be available through eLuma, leveraging its combined expertise with SSIS CoLab to help schools identify student needs and deliver targeted interventions that improve social, emotional, and behavioral outcomes.
