Lightspeed and Boostlingo Partner to Bring Real-Time Translation in Over 130 Languages to K-12 Classrooms
The new collaboration enhances access to clear instruction to schools and districts nationwide.
TUALATIN, Ore. The collaboration brings together Boostlingo’s AI-powered real-time translation and transcription services with Lightspeed’s instructional audio solutions, allowing educators to offer clear and seamless communication in over 130 languages.
More than five million students in the U.S. are classified as English Language Learners (ELLs). In many classrooms, communication gaps impede students’ ability to keep pace with instruction, and teachers often lose valuable instructional time trying to bridge language barriers. This partnership helps educators remove communication barriers, allowing them to focus on teaching while knowing they are supporting all their students.

Teachers connect their computers to their instructional audio system using a media connector to access Boostlingo’s translation and transcription features. Once a teacher sets up a session, students scan a QR code and select their preferred language on their own devices. They can then follow along with class content instantaneously through written captions or AI-powered speech translation while the teacher’s voice projects clearly throughout the classroom.
