BOULDER, Colo. – The Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE) has released its latest Student Access Programs: By the Numbers report for academic year 2023-24, which outlines key data elements about its three tuition savings programs — the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE), the Western Regional Graduate Program (WRGP), and the Professional Student Exchange Program (PSEP).
Founded in 1953, WICHE is an interstate regional higher education compact that works collaboratively to expand access to higher education across the West by promoting innovation, cooperation, resource sharing, and sound public policy. The WICHE region is comprised of 15 Western states and the U.S. Pacific Territories and Freely Associated States.
The annual By the Numbers report serves as a vital resource offering detailed participation and migration data, as well as invaluable summaries for each of WICHE’s states, territories, and freely associated states. Students and their families, high school counselors and academic advisors, institutional leaders, and policymakers can use the report to learn more about the benefits of WUE, WRGP, and PSEP. In addition to the report, you can also download a factsheet about each state, territory, or freely associated state to learn more about how WICHE is changing lives in the West.
